Habba!

Remember the good old days when Friday's was a big deal? Now, everytime I mention it as a possible place to go gain weight, my friends look at me funny. Y touched on this briefly: most Kuwaitis seem to be motivated by what we call a "habba." First it was Fanar, Soug Sharg, Marina Mall-Il Raya, but that's a strangely neutral complex, and now there's a shift moving towards Al Sal7iya-or around it. Now, I don't mind people's interests shifting, but in Kuwait we have a heap of people, all, at the same time, trying to be unique by acting the same...Am I making sense? No? Good, because it doesn't make sense to me either. Sure, it's happening, only a liar would deny it, but whatever happened to liking something just because you like it?

Me, I'll be the first to admit that I go to Al Ri7ab to buy my video games, consoles, and pretty much anything else I need that's game-related. "Way, yal 3gaidiya!" BITE ME! Honestly, there's a blatantly disgusting line between going someplace that doesn't have what I want, while atthe same time being the "it" place, and going to some place we all know but deny ever having seen that has what we really need.

Grab a Reality Check on the way out, people!

Baking Epidemic Hits Kuwait

My name is "Y" and yeah, we three are here to bring you the latest news, fads, and events that are happening in K-town..

speaking about fads, whats up with everyone opening up their own bakery/cookie/brownie delivery service?

it's the latest trend with kuwaiti entrepeuners, "tapping into the snack/dessert market" which incidentally is a thriving market in Kuwait.. Get me someone who doesn't like sugar coated, calorie packed foods that melt in your mouth.. mmm, i feel hungry already..

It all started with Choowey Goowey Cookies, which incidentally are the best cookies in Kuwait and come in a cute glass jar that adds to their aesthetic appeal and makes them look even yummier!

Then, Lulu's Brownies jumped onto the band wagon and offered brownies, which are even more yummy (yeah i'm a brownie person!)..

Now all of a sudden, we have others appearing out of no where, left, right and center like J's Bakery, Brownie Boutique, and the list goes on..

right now, everyone is a hairdresser, make up artist, designer.. and now everyone seems to be a baker all of a sudden..
the question is, what will be next?

X, Y & Z Reporting for Duty

I am the X, also known as the better third of the trio, X, Y & Z. Who are we exactly? What is our mission? That is oblivious even to us the creators of this blog at this time. However, you might be surprised to come across our page and find interesting, out of the ordinary articles that pertain to everything that has to do with Kuwait.

Lets say you were bored and want to know whats happening around town, or even hungry and want to dine out without risking the possibility of coming back home green in the face, want light entertainment to compliment your daily snack, indepth reports of important issues that affect our lives or how about wanting to find the latest in everything retail. What if I told you you can find it all here. Well, not right now but in the near future, depending on our attention span and commitment to long term ventures. But for now...

We offer you, K-Essential. Essentially Kuwait.
